A single donation can become a meaningful contribution to someone’s chance for recovery. Recognizing the importance of collective action and community care, PT Teknik Alum Service (PT TAS), part of Neo Energy, organized a blood donation drive at its Buleleng site in Morowali, Central Sulawesi, as part of the commemoration of Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day.
Carrying the meaningful tagline “Sekantong Darah, Sejuta Harapan untuk Negeri” or “A Bag of Blood, A Million Hopes for the Nation,” the initiative was held on Thursday, 13 August 2026, at the PT TAS office in Desa Buleleng, Kecamatan Bungku Pesisir, Kabupaten Morowali. The activity was carried out in collaboration with PMI Bungku, Kabupaten Morowali, reflecting PT TAS’s commitment to contributing to the health and well-being of the wider community.
The blood donation drive was designed with an initial target of 200 blood bags, as determined by PMI Bungku. A total of 176 people registered to participate in the initiative. Following the required health screening process, 41 participants successfully qualified and donated blood.
While not every registered participant was ultimately able to donate, the initiative demonstrated the willingness of employees and participants to contribute to a cause that directly supports others. The screening process also served an important purpose in ensuring that donations were made safely and responsibly, in accordance with applicable health standards.
For PT TAS, the value of the initiative extends beyond the number of blood bags collected. It represents an opportunity to encourage greater awareness of the importance of blood donation while strengthening a culture of social responsibility among employees and the surrounding community.
